Maciej Nikodem

Kryptografia i bezpieczeństwo systemów o ograniczonych zasobach (m.in. kart mikroprocesorowych, systemów wbudowanych, bezprzewodowych sieci czujników) to obszar zainteresowań, który ukierunkował moją pracę magisterską a później doktorską. Efektem tych zainteresowań jest praca doktorska, poświęcona ochronie urządzeń kryptograficznych przed atakami z uszkodzeniami, którą obroniłem w 2008 na wydziale Elektroniki, PWr. Od tego casu moje zainteresowania badawcze uległy zmianom i skupiają się na systemach wbudowanych, głównie na zastosowaniach, oraz metodach organizacji i zarządzania bezprzewodowymi sieciami czujników (WSN), m.in. algorytmach routingu, doboru mocy nadajników, lokalizacji. Biorę również udział w pracach nad wykorzystaniem układów rekonfigurowalnych do modelowania zachowania termicznego złożonych układów cyfrowych. 

Przez ponad 5 lat współpracowałem z firmą Surfland Deweloper System Sp. z o.o. rozwijającą oprogramowanie do obsługi procesu sprzedaży w firmach deweloperskich. Zajmowałem się tworzeniem oprogramowania, specyfikowaniem potrzeb klienta i szkoleniami. W tym czasie oprogramowanie zostało wdrożone w ponad 60 firmach działających na terenie całej Polski. W 2009 roku byłem jednym ze współautorów analizy (nie)bezpieczeństwa kart mikroprocesorowych, która była przygotowywana przez Polskie Towarzystwo Informatyczne na zalecenie Ministerstwa Spraw Wewnętrznych. Analiza była jednym z elementów przygotowania do wdrożenia w Polsce systemu elektronicznych dokumentów tożsamości - eID. W latach 2011-2012, w ramach programu Zielony Transfer, odbyłem roczny staż w firmie Nokia Siemens Networks Sp. z o.o. gdzie zajmowałem się przeniesieniem fragmentów symulacji programowych do układów rekonfigurowalnych FPGA. Jednym z efektór tego stażu sa prace naukowe i projekt badawczy z zakresu analizy zachowań termicznych w układach rekonfigurowalnych. Pod koniec roku 2012 odbyłem dwumiesięczne szkolenie na Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA, USA) w ramach programu TOP 500 Innovators, i krótki staż w dziale Wireless Unit firmy CISCO Systems zajmującym się rozwiązaniami lokalizacji urządzeń w sieciach WiFi. Od września 2013 roku współpracuję z firmą MT-Silesia Sp. z o.o. nad opracowaniem systemu wykorzystującym sieci bezprzewodowe małej mocy (IEEE 802.15.4) do lokalizacji osób i zasobów w kopalniach podziemnych. 

Jestem głownym inicjatorem corocznych projektów zespołowych we współpracy z przemysłem (kurs dla studentów 3 roku studiów inżynierskich) oraz organizatorem Konferencji Projektów Zespołowych. Jest to jednodniowa prezentacja projektów studenckich w której biorą udział studenci, przedstawiciele przemysłu  i pracownicy uczelni.
